Art

Everyone views art differently.. To me Art can be any way one has of expressing oneself. It can be through words, paper and words, drawings, painting, sculpting and making movies or music.

To me I decided that making desktop themes is a way that I express myself. A desktop theme is a collaboration of background images, desktop icons, cursors, a screensaver and changing your taskbar and start up menu.

I used to make themes myself with no extra software. Windows gives you the option to save themes as a “Theme” file. Then to load the theme, all you have to do is click on the theme file. Recently though I got introduced to a program called Style XP. It is not a free program but it allows me to change my login screen plus gives me access to more themes and MS syles on the web. mss styles are files that are used to help change your taskbar and start menu.
I will be doing a page on how I create themes .. I hope everyone finds this interesting

My Dreams

We all have our dreams. I thought this was an interesting thing, sitting down and actually thinking bout what my dreams were. I learned that they are a lot different now then they were when I was a kid.

Some of the dreams that I Have now are traveling the world, working in a daycare with children, owning a new Nissan Skyline racing edition, celebrating my 50th wedding anniversary with my husband and to own a 3 bedroom house with 2 garages and at least an acre of land. Lastly I have a dream of being a crises counselor that can help rape and domestic violence victums and really helps people.

The main dream that I want to focus on as my big dream is traveling the world.

Some of the dreams I had as a kid was to be a professor at a univeristy, to help in a wildlife refuge, and to run and own my own library.

Hey I am slowly workin on my Culture Site project now.

I have wordpress working correctly YAY. I just submitted my Teach project. I was kinda funny cause I recently did the topic I “taught”

It amazes me how much knowlege my teenage nieces have of technology compared to what I Had at thier age. I am still tryiin to decide if that is a good or a bad thing

Databases

Alrighty.. I finally got my data base set up. Luckily I have taken a Computer class and it went through all the Office applications. I am glad it even went through Access. Makin the database up wasn’t all that hard. A pain yes but hard not truely. I think its nice to have the record. 

Alrighty. THis image is the only thing I can seem to get uploaded into this post. If this Poses a problem, let me know and I will try to submit my FINISHED database some other way. I Guess I am still tryin to get used to WordPress.

As for my Culture project. Its goin slowly but steadily

Oye.. This week has been a lot of different school work for me.

I have been busy.. had a big Soc paper to work on. I AM currently checking out sites and reading the book my friend leant me

I am currently tryin to work on the data base project as well as my culture site.

I am tryin really hard to do well this semster..

Um its been a very long Sunday for me *sorry the post is late*, so pardon me for not much more info..

Well while I am still having a little trouble finding sites and information, I am making some progress.

WITI – Welcome to WITI

Luckily I have also found another resource thanks to a good friend of mine.

She lent me a book and I am currently reading it and tryin to extract information for my report.

I am currently slowly making progress. I am greatly enjoying this report and the class. I am finding it interesting, and finding that the issue of gender and techology is coming out more and more in converstation and situations in my life.

Week Two, WS 320 Progress Blog

Well to start off, I write this blog with a slightly heavy heart. I have tried doing research for my culture project but have not had much luck as of yet.

I am still working on it.. I have doin some Yahooin and googling for ideas and women but found not much results yet.

I plan to keep researching. I have to admit that the internet and my computer is the only source of research I have right now.

I had a small incident with my internet browser when doin research on a website. My browser windows froze up. I just thought it would be worth mentioning.

I am currently workin hard and planin best I can. MY topic as of now, is Kelly Carnes President & CEO, TechVision21.

I have noticed that in my research that women have worked Internationally but a lot of them grew up and are living in the US. This is the case with Mrs. Carnes.

I plan to keep up research. I hope I can find info on her. If not I will post that I might be changing my topic.

Well Those are my thoughts.

Hello all.. I got the wordpress blog set up.

I am only somewhat familiar with bloggin and this is the first time I used wordpress’s bloggin system.

A couple of months ago I set up a blog on Yahoo 360°. I will be honest and admit that I am bad bout keepin it updated. I will work hard to keep this blog updated for my WS 320 class though. well More to come
